This problem and its solution were reported by a couple of Screenwriter users.
PROBLEM: I upgraded to Screenwriter 6.7. Had no problem at the time. Went to open MM Screenwriter 6.7 on my Mac Mini M2 today and it wouldn't even open. The icon bounced in the bottom dock...then stopped without opening.
SOLUTION: I figured out the issue. It was a user error on my end. Below are the details of what I did in case other users run into the same situation.
With MacOS Ventura, Apple changed the Login Items feature in System Settings and added a list of "Allow in the Background" items that could be toggled on and off. When I saw "PACE License Support" I didn't know what that was so I turned it off. This morning I remembered that I did that and thought I'd try toggling it back on to see if that's what's not letting Screenwriter open after restarting.
Sure enough, that was the problem. I guess that item needs to be running in the background in order for Screenwriter to open. Not sure if that is intentional or not, but keeping it on solves the issue for me.
