IN THE PROGRAM
If possible, open the program and look in the About box. Your serial number will be listed on the screen near your name, version/build or date information. Word Menu serial numbers are in the program under the Preferences tab.
- Windows — click on Help > About.
- Macintosh — next to the Apple menu, click on [program name] > About [program name]
(NOTE: The serial number does not appear in the About Box for Movie Magic Screenwriter for manual activations. The serial number only appears for internet activations.)
DOWNLOADABLE VERSION (Confirmation E-mail)
For online store purchases, the serial number is located in the confirmation e-mail we sent to you after you purchased the program. You can also log into your Screenplay.com account and click on Downloadable Products to retrieve the serial number(s).
NOTE: If you purchased the software recently and did not receive the email, we recommend checking your SPAM folder in case it got trapped there.
IN THE CD CASE
The serial number could appear in a few different places in the CD case:
- On a sticker above the CD holder.
- The back of the insert booklet.
The serial number would be printed there.
ON THE REGISTRATION CARD
For very old boxed products, the registration card was located in the box. If you already mailed in the bottom half, you can find your serial number on the top half of the card that reads REGISTER NOW and Save This Panel.
