Download Dramatica Pro 4 - Windows

This download will install Dramatica Pro 4.0 as a new installation.

1. Click the CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE INSTALLER link on this page above.
2. Once you click on the link, you will be brought to the Write Brothers WeTransfer.com download page.  Click on the DOWNLOAD button to begin the download (DramaticaPro.exe.zip).
   
   
   • If you get an alert asking to permit the download make sure to allow it. 
     
     
   • If you get the following alert window, click on the Advanced button THEN click on the "Continue to register.write-bros.com (unsafe)" link to allow it -- it is SAFE, despite an alert. 
     
     
   • If you get a message that says "The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed", the likely cause is that the installer is blocked by your firewall.  We recommend disabling the firewall -- temporarily -- until you successfully install Dramatica Pro.
     
     
3. The file is large and can take a while to download. You can check the progress by using your browser's download status option.
4. Once the program finishes downloading, click search for "downloads".
5. Open the Downloads folder.
6. Locate the DramaticaPro.exe.zip file in your Downloads folder (or wherever you downloaded the file).
7. Double-click on the DramaticaPro.exe.zip file to un-compress the file.
8. Once the file has been uncompressed, right click on the DramaticaPro installer application (DramaticaPro.exe) and choose Run as Administrator (this is VERY important!).
9. Follow the on-screen steps to complete the installation.
   1. The first screen is the Welcome screen.  Click Next.
   2. The second screen is the software license agreement.  Click the "I accept the terms of the License Agreement" checkbox, and click Next.
   3. After you accept the license agreement, you are asked to enter your name and serial number.  Fill in the information and click Next.
   4. This screen is the destination folder -- where Dramatica Pro is to be installed.  We HIGHLY recommend that you use the default location.  Press Next.
   5. Click Install to install the software.
      1. During installation you may be prompted to download a necessary component:
         
      2. It is absolutely essential to choose "Download and install this feature".  Here are the windows that subsequently comes up:
         
         

      3. After the "Downloading required files", that message changes to "Installing..."  When it is done:
         
         

   6. Once installation is completed a completed screen opens.  Press the Finish button.
   7. You will get an error message, "The product you are trying to register is not currently installed.  Do you stlll want to register?"  Click NO. 
   8. You will be asked if you really don't want to register.  Click YES.
   9. Another message about registering later will pop up. Click OK.
10. Right click on the Dramatica Pro 4.0 shortcut icon on your desktop.
11. Choose Properties.
12. Click on the Compatibility tab.
13. In the "Privilege Level" section, check the box labeled Run this program as an Administrator.
14. Click OK. 
15. Double-click on the Dramatica Pro alias.  You may get the following message the first time you do this:
    
16. YES must be selected.
17. The program should now run normally.
18. Register the software by using the Contact Customer Service / Sales link on the support site, and use the online form:

Windows XP

5. Once the program finishes downloading, click search for "downloads".
6. Open the Downloads folder.
7. After the program has downloaded, the installation will automatically begin.
8. Follow the on-screen steps to install the software.
9. Once it has finished installing it will try to register but it will fail.  That's OK.  You may register the software by sending your serial number, name, and email address to sales@screenplay.com with the subject, "Dramatica Pro Registration"
