When I'm importing an RTF file why does it import into only one event?

StoryView's import feature uses paragraph styles to determine how it should import the file and parse it into different events. Chances are the document you are importing uses the same paragraph styles for all of its text.

Note: the document may have different formatting attributes such as font type and font size applied to different sections, however these were probably applied independently of paragraph styles. You can either split the event into multiple events in StoryView or open the file in a Word Processing program and apply paragraphs styles to the different sections of your document then reimport the file.
