Screenwriter documents are stored separately from the program so when you install and activate Screenwriter on another computer you need to transfer the documents manually to the new computer.
We suggest using a USB Thumb drive as a good transfer medium to transfer your documents from the old computer to the new computer. It provides an easy way to transport the files and provides a backup at the same time.
For Windows Screenwriter
Windows Screenwriter documents are usually located in the ..\Documents\Movie Magic Screenwriter documents folder on your hard disk. Screenwriter 6 files have the .MMSW file extension, and older files have the .SCW file extension. Though PDF files may contain copies of your script, PDF files are NOT Screenwriter documents and cannot be opened or imported directly.
