All the styles for a script (fonts, margins, bold, etc.) can be set up in the Element Styles window. The Element Styles command is the first item in the Format menu.

All the styles for a script (fonts, margins, bold, etc.) can be set up in the Edit Script Formats window. The Edit Scripts Format window is the first item in the Format menu.

You can change formatting for the following categories:

- Act Information
- Scene Information
- Script Notes
- Centered Title
- Page Breaks
- Locked Scripts
- Outline (Screenwriter 6+)
Screenwriter allows you to change the margins, font and style of each of the elements above. In addition, some elements have enhanced functions that you can customize.
The Page Break section allows you to control where page breaks fall, the minimum number of lines for Action and Dialogue, the starting page number of your script and the location of Transitions on the page.
The Locked Scripts section controls the formatting of your script when it is in production.
