How do I use one dash instead of two before the time-of-day in my Scene Headings?

You can change the amount of dashes in your Scene Headings.

FOR MOVIE MAGIC SCREENWRITER 6+

1. Click Format > Element Styles.
2. On the right, click the Scene Headings button.
3. In the middle of the screen, go to Time-of-Day Dashes and change the number to one.
4. Click OK.

Note: this will only change new scene headings not existing ones.

FOR MOVIE MAGIC SCREENWRITER 2000 / 4.x

1. Click Format > Edit Script Formats.
2. On the right, click the Scene Headings button.
3. In the middle of the screen, go to Time-of-Day Dashes and change the number to one.
4. Click OK.

Note: this will only change new scene headings not existing ones.
