For some reason, Courier Old (which we default to for printing in Screenwriter 4.73) does not get installed properly on some machines. In these cases, the program substitutes the first Courier it finds, which can be Courier New CE. This is not a standard windows font, so the printer typically prints Arial instead.
Work-around:
- Open the Windows Control Panel.
- If you are using the standard view, select "Appearance and Personalization" ("Appearance and Themes" in Windows 2000 or XP), then "Fonts". If you are using the classic view, double-click "Fonts".
- Close the Fonts window.
- Back in Screenwriter, click File > Program Options > Printing.
- Substitute Courier Old when printing and click OK.
- Try printing again.
