This is usually caused by one of two things:
- When Screenwriter was installed, only the Screenwriter application (purple icon) was dragged to the hard drive, rather than the entire Movie Magic Screenwriter folder.
- After Screenwriter was installed, the Screenwriter application (purple icon) was dragged out of the Movie Magic Screenwriter folder, possibly to the Desktop, for easier access.
In either case, the Screenwriter application needs to be in the folder with all its other files.
- For scenario #1, trash the Screenwriter application from the hard drive and copy the entire Movie Magic Screenwriter folder into the Applications folder on your hard drive.
- For scenario #2, drag the Screenwriter application (purple icon) back into the Movie Magic Screenwriter folder on the hard drive, and then make an alias (File > Make Alias) and drag that to your Desktop.
