I installed Screenwriter 6, but when I open the program it says "User level insufficient to start a low level driver" OR "user privileges insufficient to start..."

NOTE: This error should only apply to OLD, pre-2022 INTERLOK-protected versions of Screenwriter (IE, with serial numbers that begin with SCRW0600 -- NOT modern "WMM6" versions of Screenwriter.

If you have a "WMM6-" serial number, it means you probably copied over or installed the OLD Screenwriter or ran the OLD installer.  You should re-run the NEW installer.

In that case, DO NOT follow the instructions below.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR OLD SCRW0600 SCREENWRITER (definitely not for Windows 10 or 11):

This only occurs on 64-bit versions of Windows with older versions of Movie Magic Screenwriter.

Please download and install the attached Drivers64.zip file. Inside the ZIP file is a Setup.exe file. Double click on Setup.exe to install the necessary 64-bit files. Reboot the computer after installation is complete.
