When I print out my script in Screenwriter 2000 (4.x), it prints in a different font (like Arial) and not Courier 12pt.

For some reason, Courier Old (which we default to for printing) does not get installed properly on some machines. In these cases, the program substitutes the first Courier it finds, which can be Courier New CE.

This is not a standard windows font, so the printer typically prints Arial instead.

Work-around:

1. Open the Windows Control Panel.
2. Double click Fonts.
3. Close the Fonts window.
4. Back in Screenwriter, click File > Program Options > Printing.
5. Make sure it is set to Substitute > Courier Old when printing.
6. Click OK and try printing again.
