WINDOWS
First, download the template or sample file to an easily accessible folder like Downloads or the Desktop.
- Click on Start > Documents (My Documents in Windows 2000/XP).
- Open the Screenwriter Documents folder.
- Open the appropriate folder:
- For a blank template, open the Templates/Blank Templates folder.
- For an instructional template, open the Templates/Instructional Templates folder.
- For an instructional template, open the Templates/TV Templates folder.
- For a sample file, open the Sample Files folder.
- For a blank template, open the Templates/Blank Templates folder.
- Drag the file you downloaded from the download location into the currently open folder.
- Close all windows that are open.
You can access the template in Screenwriter under File > New From Template.
You can access the sample file in Screenwriter under File > Open.
MACINTOSH

- From the Desktop, click on Go > Home (CMD+SHIFT+H).
- Open the Documents folder.
- Open the Movie Magic Screenwriter folder.
- Open the appropriate folder:
- For a blank template, open the Templates/Blank Templates
- For an instructional template, open the Templates/Instructional Templates folder.
- For an instructional template, open the Templates/TV Templates folder.
- For a sample file, open the Sample Files folder.
- Drag the file you downloaded from the download location into the currently open folder.
- Close all windows that are open.
You can access templates in Screenwriter under File > New From Template.
You can access sample files in Screenwriter under File > Open.
