Exception ERegistry in module SETUP-32.EXE at 00049B15. Failed to set data for 'SYSEXT01'" when installing Screenwriter 4 (2000).

The CD that you have is not compatible with Windows Vista.  Click the DOWNLOAD link below to use the downloadable version of the program.

When prompted choose ‘Run’ or ‘Open’.  Follow the on-screen steps.  If you wish to download the installer now but install it at a later time, choose ‘Save’ and choose a folder to save it in.

AFTER INSTALLING THE PROGRAM:

1. Right click on the Movie Magic Screenwriter icon on the Desktop and choose Properties.
   
   
   
   
2. Click on the Compatibility tab.
   
   
   
   
3. In the Privilege Level section, check the box labeled Run this program as an Administrator.
   
   
   
   
4. Click OK.

The program should now run normally by double clicking on the shortcut on the Desktop.
