If you have High Sierra (MacOS 10.13) or Mojave (10.14), we recommend that you upgrade because Screenwriter 6.0 is not compatible with High Sierra. You do not need to have Screenwriter 6.0 installed on your computer to upgrade to v6.5.
NOTE: Screenwriter 6.5 currently is NOT compatible with Apple's Catalina (OSX 10.15) and Big Sur (OS 11), though purchasing an upgrade to 6.5 includes a free update to a Catalina-compatible version of Mac Screenwriter once the new version of Mac Screenwriter becomes available in 2020. We have an Alpha version currently being tested by any 6.5 user that wants it, and a virtual machine workaround for Catalina users that requires some setup but lets Catalina users an option today. Click on the following link for current update status on the Catalina-compatible version.

* NOTE: Screenwriter 6.5 is NOT compatible with Apple’s macOS 10.15 Catalina or Big Sur -- though we are testing an Alpha version of Screenwriter 6.7 which is fully 64bit and Catalina/Big Sur compatible, and upgrading to 6.5 includes a free update to the new version.
Here is a link to download and install Screenwriter 6.7. The alpha test version requires the Screenwriter 6.5 serial number to activate.

For those on Catalina who need Screenwriter's full functionality, we have an interim workaround for those with Screenwriter 6.5. Here is a FAQ with directions on how to set up the workaround. We've found the performance of Screenwriter 6.5 on the virtual machine running on Mojave is robust. The downside is that it takes more steps to set up.
