Window 8 or 8.1

1) Close Screenwriter.
2) From the Start screen (with the tiles) type in "File Explorer" and open it when it is found.
3) Open the following folder: C:\Users\(your username)\AppData\Local\Movie Magic Screenwriter.
Note: if you don't see the AppData folder, click on the View menu, then Options then "Change folder and search options." Under the View tab, enable to "Show Hidden Files, folder and drives."
4) Right click on the file and choose Delete.
Window Vista or 7
------------------------------
1) Close Screenwriter.
2) Click on the Start menu.
3) In the Search bar type "Scwriter.ini." It should find a file called Scwriter, located in folder C:\Users\(your username)\AppData\Local\Movie Magic Screenwriter. If not, open that location manually via Start > Computer.
4) Right click on the file and choose Delete.
Windows 2000 and XP
-------------------------------
1) Close Screenwriter.
2) Click Start > Search.
3) On the left, choose “All files and folders”.
4) For the file name, type Scwriter.ini.
5) For the "Look In:" pulldown menu, make sure it is searching in the Local Hard Drives.
6) Click on Search. It should find a file called Scwriter, located in folder C:\Documents and Settings\(your username)\Local\Application Data\Movie Magic Screenwiter.
7) Right click on the file and choose Delete.
