While we recommend that you trash your 6.0 copy of Screenwriter after upgrading to Mac Screenwriter 6.5 to prevent "collisions" between the two versions, there are several other options available to you:
OPTION ONE: FILE>OPEN
- Use File>Open to open your documents while in Mac Screenwriter 6.5
OPTION TWO: USE THE FINDER TO OPEN A SINGLE FILE IN SCREENWRITER 6.5
- While in the Finder, right-click on one of your Screenwriter 6 (.mmsw) documents.
- Select the Open With>Screenwriter.app (6.5.x)
OPTION THREE: SET THE FINDER DEFAULT FOR SCREENWRITER DOCUMENTS TO OPEN IN SCREENWRITER 6.5
- While in the Finder, right-click on one of your Screenwriter 6 (.mmsw) documents.
- Select the Open With>Other...
- Navigated to the Screenwriter 6.5 folder.
- Select the Screenwriter.app
- Make sure to click on the Always Open With checkbox.
- Press Open
- The document will open in Screenwriter 6.5 and from this point forward double-clicking on a Screenwriter .mmsw document will open in Screenwriter 6.5, not Screenwriter 6.0.
