How to Deactivate Activations for Windows Screenwriter 6 [2022]

NOTE:  These directions are for Windows Screenwriter 6 [2022] -- the version that uses a serial number that begins with "WMM6-"

Need to Reclaim An Activation? Use the View My Activations & Registration application shortcut located in the Windows (C:) > Program Files (x86) > Write Brothers Inc." folder to deauthorize old, unused activation locations to make room for a new activations.

Here are the steps to deactivate WINDOWS Screenwriter activations:

1. In Windows, navigate to the "Windows (C:) > Program Files (x86) > Write Brothers Inc." folder
2. Double-click on the Screenwriter 6 application folder
3. Double-click on the View My Activations & Registration app
4. If Screenwriter is already activated on the computer, you will be given a choice to View Activations / Registration.  Click on that option.  Otherwise…
5. Enter your account email address and password
6. Click on the Next button
7. The “Your Account Information” window will open
8. If you have more than one serial number, select the serial number (on the left) that has activations you wish to deactivate
9. On the right side of the window are the activations.  Click on the Deactivate button for the activation you wish to clear.
10. You will be asked to confirm the deactivation.  Click on the Yes, Deactivate button to deactivate.
11. Repeat steps 8 through 10 if you wish to clear additional activations.
12. Press the Quit button once you are done
13. You are now ready to activate new installations of Screenwriter using the steps described in the normal installation directions
