How do I open the Structure Templates for Novel, Screenplay, and Short Story?

FOR DRAMATICA PRO FOR WINDOWS:

The Dramatica Story Wizard for use with Windows Dramatica Pro allows you to access the templates much easier.  NOTE: If you cannot locate the structure templates, we have the three templates attached to this FAQ for downloading if you wish.

NOTE TO WINDOWS 11 USERS:  Dramatica Pro 4 automatically creates links to the structure templates in the "Documents" directory of Windows 11 under a folder called "Structure Templates." 

WINDOWS 10 USERS:  Some Windows 10 user's systems appear to be incompatible with the Story Wizard and do not install properly.  Fortunately, there is a simple solution built into Dramatica Pro to access the structure templates.  The structure templates are installed when Dramatica Pro is installed.  If you want to use the story templates:

• Use the File>Open menu command and navigate to the templates, which are located on your computer in the following location:

Computer > C: > Program Files (x86) > Write Brothers, Inc. > Dramatica Pro > Structure Templates

• Select one of the available structure templates:
  
  • Novel Template.dsf
  • Screenplay Template.dsf
  • Short Story.dsf
• Press OK and a new document based on the template of your choice is created.
• Use the File>Save As to save your document based on the selected structure template.

FOR DRAMATICA STORY EXPERT FOR MAC:

Use the File>New Document from Template menu command and select the structure template that best suits your needs.

NOTE:  You must create the document with the structure template from the beginning.  You cannot add the template to an existing Dramatica document.
