This issue, specific to Google Chrome, has been reported and will be fixed for the next iteration of the help file.
We recommend opening the help in a different browser, e.g., Safari, Firefox, etc. To do so open up the different browser, and paste in the following URL:
file:///Applications/Dramatica Story Expert/Help/index.html
Alternatively, we have created a workaround and posted the help files online:
